The effects of childhood bereavement last a lifetime. A few years ago, I shared how it continues to affect me in this blog lynnetteslife.wordpress.com/2023/01/10/c... #ChildrensGriefAwarenessWeek
Childhood Bereavement – The Lasting Effects
This week my Dad would have been 91. However, I find it really difficult to imagine him at that age. I always see him as being 48 – the age at which he died. Often people assume that children…

I usually do shopping online, but last week I actually went to the shops. It was possibly the first time I've been to the shops this year (unless picking up the occasional punnet of strawberries counts!). I find shopping difficult. This blog explains why lynnetteslife.wordpress.com/2025/10/29/t...
The Problem With Shopping

Today marks 45 years since Dad died. It really doesn't feel that long ago! He was only 48 (I was 13). So glad that he was my Dad, but he died way too young #Forever48

I've spent much of my life working with children, in schools, preschools & churches. Recently, I've been thinking about the passage in the Bible where Jesus tells us to become like little children. This blog shares some of my thoughts. Feel free to share 🙂 lynnetteslife.wordpress.com/2025/09/26/b...
“Become like Little Children”
In the Bible, Jesus is asked by his disciples who the most important person in the kingdom of heaven is. He calls a little child over to him and says, “You need to change and become like litt…

Can’t we just love people with autism rather than lying about them?
Yesterday, the President of the United States of America began pronouncing - against all credible scientific evidence - that paracetamol (or, tylenol, or acetaminophen if you prefer) causes autism. It has been denounced by just about every scientific and health body going. It is absolute bunk that, spouted by anybody else, would be utterly unworthy of a refutation. As far as I can see, his evidence amounts to 'there are groups of people who haven't taken tylenol or vaccines who don't have autism'. Well, then... I will leave you to speculate as to why he might be inclined to announce this demonstrably false nonesense to the world.

4.5 hours of sleep last night. A mix of brain not switching off, someone letting off fireworks at midnight, and then getting annoyed that I couldn't sleep. On days like this, I'm glad that I don't go to work anymore. Other than sending a few emails, today is going to be a crash day 😴

I had a comment on my last video saying "Love thy neighbour, not love thy sinners or love thy illegal rapists". I was kind of pleased they used that particular line from the Bible, because it really gets to the heart of the immigration debate for those of all faiths and none
