It's Tuesday so I suspect the Canada Mexico #tariffs are in place. I live in Maine where our fuel comes overwhelmingly from Canada. We will feel the effect of this almost immediately. Fuel will be 25% more expensive. #trump is drunk on power and thinks no one can stop him. So far he's right.

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source.

Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

Okay Pete Buttigieg, never mind running for Senate. If you help lead this effort, a lot of us will join in.

And if not, Pete, in times like these leadership often emerges from unlikely places... We should be on the lookou

The #ConsumerFinancialProtectionBureau has returned over $19 billion to the pockets of consumers. Millionaires and billionaires may not need it but regular people do.
The CFPB is one of the American people’s best defenses against waste, fraud, and abuse.

Demolishing it will, of course, lead to more waste, fraud, and abuse.

On August 5, 1981, Reagan fired PATCO members who remained on strike and banned them from being rehired. He then began replacing them with a combination of about 3,000 supervisors, 2,000 non-striking air traffic controllers, and 900 military controllers (Glass, Schalch).Sep 2, 2021

It is tragically ironic that the mid-air collision that just occurred in DC was at the airport renamed for Ronald Reagan, though he fired over 11,000 striking air traffic controllers and banned them from Federal service for life.

Just when I think I'm jaded I realize I'm naive all over again. I'm imagining Mitch McConnell saying "the emperor has no clothes" whole leading the effort to deny all of Trump's nominees.

Love that Trump's snitch email to Federal Employees got spammed. Rachel Maddow reporting that one email said "unqualified mediocre white guys are being hired to head up important government agencies. Someone should look into that."

More of this please.
