Took a lot of work but I'm proud of my revitalized veggie garden using straw bales. There will be a tomato wall by end of summer. They're sitting on overgrown beds so they'll get that area usuable again next year with little work. Using bales this way has saved me hours of digging out old beds.

Good morning Bluesky. First winter walk is done. Took a while to get motivated b/c the wind is winding. The dump of snow went N and S of me so no shoveling out this am. Put on my sexy wind protection outfit and was golden.

I'm really looking forward to my Christmas break. Work shuts down just before Christmas until after NYs. Just 2ish weeks of snuggling under blankets, reading, gaming or whatever. Hopefully some decent weather for snow walks. Maybe get my drone out for some winter photos and vids

I have to regularly remind myself of this. Used to be a people pleaser extraordinaire. Life has been much better with balance but the tendency still bubbles to the surface at times

They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

This is something about Bluesky that I need to get used to. I've been more of a reader and liker than a retweeter and poster.
My one constructive criticism on BlueSky, as a community: we need to “like” less and “retweet” more. In the absence of an algorithm, that’s the way we find each other and reward good content.

So my back went in August so much physical work is on hold. I have a diagnosis and will be able to fix it over winter but frustrating that I can't plant all the bulbs where I wanted. I decided to use one of the veggie beds b/c it's easier to dig and move them to their final home next year

Like me using it as journal for pictures of sun rises and sunsets because that's what's making me happy right now. Just sharing a bit of my little world.
The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.
