I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel like your own sickness or that of someone close to you is sadly a really good catalyst to reevaluate how high on your list of priorities taking care of your health is. Whoever needs to hear this, prioritize you and your family’s health over everything else.

Random thought: if you have health insurance that covers it, make sure you’re getting your annual physical and associated blood work done every year. Especially men, who are notorious about not seeing doctors regularly. Preventative medicine is the real MVP for taking care of your health.
