Book Tour post with @bookouture.bsky.social and #HelenaDixon for the release of the fabulous Murder At Midwinter Farm.

I love the Miss Underhay series and even at book 22 in the series continues to have inventive mysteries that I love to read.

A really solid and fun couple of weeks of reading. Powering through my 'must reads' (eArcs) to be able to mood read more for the rest of the year.

August 2025 reading month is done! Only 2 x 5* reads but a really great collection of 4 star+ Books.
Top 2 reads of the month were #allthesinnersbleed and #brigandsandbreadknives with a really great mix of other enjoyable reads.

Watching Japan videos obsessively since we're going back next year and one talked about a great view of Mt Fuji from a certain location. This of course, as always brought to mind my great view of Fuji-san during @popsiwinkle.bsky.social 2010 visit.
Couldn't have taken a better picture if I'd tried..

Thank you @bookouture.bsky.social and Helena Dixon for inviting me to be a part of the #booktour for #MurderinParis the 21st instalment in the #missunderhay #cozymysteryseries
I love this series and always eagerly await the next addition as soon as I finish my current read!

Have lost my social media mojo of late so posting a couple of weeks worth of round up here to keep up my accountability. Overall it's been a fun couple of weeks of reading with some great advance reader copy reads with #brigandsandbreadknives and #medusa

July's round up and again I had two 5* reads (The Bewitching and The Reformatory - read read read them) and a bunch of amazing 4.5* reads. If you've been reading the HMRC series definitely get to Human Rites - it's a great closing to the trilogy.

Not so many books last week but a really strong line up with All The Sinners Bleed being 5 stars and I finally finished The Plantagenets which I've been listening to on and off since 2023! August's Buzzword is 'With' so kicking off Kill Them With Kindness.
August 7, 2025 at 7:56 AM
Finally finished The Reformatory this week - what a stunning but difficult read! The Butcher's Daughter was a great surprise - I loved the ending! Excited to get to All The Sinners Bleed and Killer on the Road this week (hopefully, pending reading mood...).

Did I find an American stockist of the Killer on the Road / The Babysitter lives double header?

Why yes, of course I did.

And she's a gloriously floppy paperback too.

Another week down and a mixed bag - highs The Bewitching, Mapping The Interior and The Covenant of Water. This current week I'm determined to get The Reformatory finished. It's such a tough but incredible read!

Lidl coming in for the win with its South America week. Who needs an epcot food festival when you can get an entire bag of Pao de Quiejo for a fiver!!
July 16, 2025 at 11:27 AM
She arrived!! SMG is an autobuy author for me and I had been planning on holding out to get a US version of The Bewitching as I prefer the cover...but then I saw the Waterstones edition with those sprayed edges and end papers 😍

Finally got to my Q2 wrap up and 1st half of the year recommended reads. I had some phenomenal Q2 reads and far too many books to recommend over the first half of the year - could easily do my 25 in 25 now!

It's Weekly Reading Wrap Up time and a fun one this week with Summerween reads and a great buddy read in the shape of The Covenant of Water. Loved I Was a Teenage Slasher and Let's Split Up, The Starving Saints was a special and very different read.

2 weeks round up in 1 as last week was a headache led nightmare & I couldn't be bothered. Ploughing through my eArcs & Human Rites hit high yesterday! The Buffalo Hunter Hunter was my absolute highlight, thank you SGJ & this coming week i'll finally get to I Was A Teenage Slasher for Summerween!

Company holiday for 4th of July (a nice perk of working for an American company) but of course I booked my car in for a service so Greggs breakfast and a coffee I'll stretch out whilst I wait. Good excuse to get some more of my CIPD done too.

As we near the halfway point of the year I'm feeling pretty proud of myself for getting this far and sticking to my goal of putting these together each week. It's something I do for me to try and keep myself accountable but it also shows how much of a mood reader I can be (TBR plans be damned!)
June 23, 2025 at 7:39 PM
So it turns out my holiday was also a bit of a reading holiday. Got mostly easy and fun reads done (mostly audiobooks whilst travelling) but the bulk of the 2 weeks we were away were pretty slow going and I feel better for it (knocked out With A Vengeance on Sunday as a result).
June 16, 2025 at 7:42 PM
Final TBR for a few weeks as I head out on holiday!! Was great this week to knock a few older purchases off my TBR and once I get my eArcs read for June I'll be able to fully indulge in my favourite cosy mysteries on holiday.
May 26, 2025 at 8:56 AM
A few fun reads this week, working on getting eArcs read and reviewed by my holiday next week!

May 19, 2025 at 10:26 AM
Reading has definitely slowed down, things haven't been clicking quite as easily as normal and I've been working a lot on a course I'm taking. But still another good week overall!
