That time you poked at your FB ads while under the influence of cold meds and ... 😳😱🙄😬
I had to turn them off altogether for 2 whole days. And it took the better part of 2 hours to figure out what I'd done, only to have to scrap everything and start from scratch because 😳😱🙄😬

Early on in my writing career, I came across the advice that if you ever have to resort to a thesaurus, you're on the wrong path.
I keep a thesaurus tab open and frequently think, "That's some ableist, elite bullshit," as I search for a common word I know but my brain can't dredge up from the fog.

The more exposure I get to writing advice, the more certain I become that so much of what is considered “bad writing” is almost entirely about what’s considered in fashion at the time

Hey #Romancelandia can you help spread the word? Register for an event or two? Even if you can't "attend" in person, go ahead & register. Those numbers are important for a lot of reasons. And, even if you can't attend, you'll get a recording & be entered to win some books.
I've noticed a huge difference in the #s of people registering for Bookstore Romance Day virtual events this year compared to last year & I think it has a lot to do with the implosion of the birdsite. It's incredibly disappointing & frustrating. Attendance is really important & the #s aren't there.
