Cornwall based birder working in higher education. Far too easily distracted by moths. He/him. All views my own.
After a mad dash to the airfield this morning to see the Shore Lark (a Scilly "tick") it was nice to spend time this evening watching it feed on its favoured section of footpath. Remarkably Shore Larks are rarer on the islands than either Red-eyed Vireo or Radde's Warbler! #ukbirding #scillybirding

Even by the high standards of #cornwallbirding the location chosen by the Alpine Accentor, Aire Point, is absolutely stunning and the bird certainly didn't disappoint. Many thanks and kudos to @raoulhumph.bsky.social for the find. @cbwps.org.uk

Fabulous Formosa: Mountains and mudflats, tea and temples plus a great selection of colourful endemic bird species all contributed to my very enjoyable eight-day solo birding trip to Taiwan in mid-January - tinyurl.com/2yhe865r #birds #birding

Echos of the Tian Shan - an away day by train (don't ask) to catch up with the Newlyn Hume's Warbler - still a rare bird out west soundcloud.com/luscinia61/241…
