Carnivore. Worships at the altar of Pinot Noir. Thinks anybody using the word 'pop' should be beaten to death with a doilie. Slovenly housekeeping a speciality. Can't cook Yorkshire Puddings.

Anyone in Würzburg? The St Andreas church in Sanderau is empty at the moment as it was used as a movie set last week.

Without the benches, the stunning brutalist architecture is even more striking. You can really appreciate the light and shadow effects from the huge skylights. #brutalist

I'm trying to sell some unwanted items on facebook marketplace, and I've never known stress like it.

I feel like each message is another insane demand, issued during some sort of hostage situation, where the hostage is my time.

I've been ghosted more times than Derek Acorah.

Yes please.
Today is the day to tell a strange story.

The long version we'll tell later, but the short version is this. In an attic, in his late great-uncle's house, @jon.inkle.co found a locked trunk. It took twenty years to open. Last summer he did.

Inside was a wiring diagram, and a stack of books.

Something I think about often.
I prefer the singular possessive, "Oh, for fuck's sake." It just sounds more professional.

I have been traveling and today I present to you...the thing I saw in the Frankfurt airport.

Is it efficient? Undeniably. Does it probably work better than the normal way? Oh certainly. Produce less of a mess? Probably?

But the existence of Condiment Udders gives me a deep, aghast disquiet.

Re-reading The Devil's Horn by Micheal Segell and this part about how many times Adolphe Sax was almost killed as a child never gets less incredible.

This thread is wonderful.
The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.

The name for the emotion experienced when moving effortlessly forward on one side of a motorway and seeing traffic in the opposite direction at a standstill is "strassenfreude".

Dinner at the Lasg restaurant on Blythewood Square, in a genteel Georgian part of Glasgow I didn’t know existed - but only 10 minutes walk from Central. Big fan of mussels, these were superb. I reckon Edinburgh gets all the attention, Glasgow is hiding its light under a bushel…

Just had a leaflet from EE through my door breathlessly telling me that full fibre has arrived in my road and that I can have up to 1gb for ... £41 a month. My dears, the altnets have been here for ages and are way cheaper: I have 1gb for £25 with Community Fibre, ta.
