I feel like older generations don't give younger ones enough credit that they have the capacity to grow. Back in the MLG meme era people said kids then are a lost cause, same with the Hampster Dance era. Things are never perfect, but we live, we learn. I find Gen Alpha weird, but they'll do alright

Yeah except my brain doesn't let me do that very often. The very act of "Holy shit I gotta divide this task up" often sends my brain into a paralysis loop

If the method itself can't always be called, then it means it's not a universal method. For every time it does not work, well I need a different method. I can't afford to not work at all when my brain doesn't let me compartmentalize. So during those times I just use a chaos-approach

Well and that's exactly the point where I disagree. I believe that yes, we can make a decision each and every day, but if you don't have the wiring for it it's like a battery that slowly depletes. Aka: The very act of breaking tasks down is very exhausting and draining

I think it's still important to keep in mind that not everyone can do it and not necessarily due to one's own fault. Often enough I'd look at the million of individual tasks and my brain would send me into paralysis. Sometimes my brain cooperates, sometimes it doesn't

I'd say it'd be more accurate to say it's how I should handle things. When I can, it works well. When I can't, well... at those moments I can't. My job is flexible enough to let me handle it dynamically though, so it works out

Europe, but the issue is that my serotonin pathways are hyper sensitive, so pretty much anything I tried would result in instabilities due to how dopamine can interact with serotonin

Sadly I can't take them. I tried for a while but the side effects were quite extreme on me. So I gotta use a mix of different methods to help me out

I mean I got ADHD. I can't deal with breaking tasks down. So I just do kind of everything at the same time. Do a quarter of a calculation. Get interrupted midthought. Check other data partially. Write parts of my thoughts down. And cycle through this a hundred times

Nah, different people got different wirings. Yours is valid too. But I don't see a point in writing it a hundred times over, but clearly you see one. So... if you have fun with it, why not?

That's why the best way to handle tasks is to never see the original boulder, let someone else hand you a small piece over and then pretend that it's the entire task! Repeat until you complete the entire task and you'll never know that you just ate an elephant~

I really hope so, I'm 26 now and to this day the years when I was 16 were the best so far. With how the world is turning out currently and bad job opportunities and bad financial situations despite having two degrees it's hard being optimistic. I hope stuff will change
