Small Town Romance: A scent evoking a somewhat dated but ever-charming gift shop with candles and potpourri perfuming the air; mulled citrus and holly form the first impression, followed by fir, cinnamon, and florals. Patchouli, sweet amber, and rich cedar leave a lingering sense of familiarity.

Holiday Romance: Fruits, brown sugar, a sensible amount of rum, and the warmth of butter in fresh pastries. Warm spices like nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon contribute to a cozy holiday atmosphere. Creamy vanilla and tonka accented by patchouli and woods complete the blend.

Vampire Romance: An homage to the classic romantic vampire, replete with roses and wine. Dried fruits and red wine are the first temptation, followed by rich tones of red roses, berries, stone fruit, immortelle, resins, and labdanum. A dark accord lurks beneath; plum, woods, benzoin, and vanilla.

Sports Romance: Evoking glances stolen from the field to the stands or from across the locker room: Cut grass, linden blossom, vetiver, and fruits are followed up by ivy, rose, neroli, anise, and a freshly opened can of tennis balls. At the base is pine tar, smoothed over by patchouli and cedarwood.

Soulmates: A sense of completeness and correctness, a scent that envelopes like the embrace of a destined lover. Gentle almond milk and ambrette seed flow around berries and freesia, leading into heart notes of rich florals. Earthy wood tones are softened by tonka, caramel, and lactones.

Fake Dating: An over the top floral explosion: peony, iris, lily, magnolia, freesia, jasmine sambac, Grasse rose, marigold, mirabelle, cistus incanus, tuberose... and a base of orris root, musk, ambroxan, and olibanum for good measure. How's that for true romance?

Office Romance: The scents of paper and a freshly washed business casual ensemble open this blend, followed by a burst of flowers - roses with cool, freshly-cut stems; magnolia, and violet - a bouquet purchased on a lunch break. Subtle woods and patchouli provide a soft, office-appropriate finish.

Forbidden Romance: A scent so deep and luxurious that you aren't sure you're really allowed to experience it. Whispers of citrus, incense, and spearmint lead into a heady core of smoked oud wood and florals, supported by a rich, lingering base of olibanum, myrrh, amber, vanilla, leather, and musk.

banana milk is A+ (although I do not know how it performs in soap, lol)

You may notice that there are no wax melts on the menu this time-- don't worry, this isn't going to be standard going forward! Just a specific choice for this collection, and who knows, I may decide to add melts later on!

valuable (if disappointing) solidarity in these increasingly unfortunate times

I don't really foresee things getting easier any time soon (for any of us in the independent creative business), but I'm continuing to plod along as best I can. I appreciate everyone's patience and understanding and never take any of it for granted.

I also can't just give up, because I have bills to pay and pets to take care of, and there are still a lot of things I want to make. I've been really trying to pull myself together the last couple of months and have been slowly planning and making new products while catching up on my order backlog.

I got extremely behind on order fulfillment, 80% because of waiting on supplies, 20% because of being mentally overloaded. I'm very close to caught up now, but I've been feeling stressed and guilty for several months due to how much I've been struggling and knowing I haven't been doing a good job.

For various reasons, both professional and personal (and often one contributing to the other), it's been difficult to... do anything, let alone run a business.

Prices for raw materials are rising, supply chains are getting messed up, the whole world is just A Lot and there's no pause button.
