Democrats have spent lavishly to make consultant figures like David Axelrod and James Carville wealthy. The party is oriented around consultant ideas like focus groups, polling and wasting enormous amounts on useless ads. Meanwhile the party makes nearly zero in media investment.

If the Republicans in Congress are helping and on cutting Medicaid and forcing the states to pick up the slack, Blue states like mine, Washington, need to find ways to send way less of our tax dollars to the federal government.
