Of course I don't. In your world, the reporter should say "Musk says he didn't do a Nazi salute, but he's obviously lying because I know these things." In a responsible world the reporter says "Musk says he didn't do it, but xxx, a WWII expert, sees it otherwise." Then comes the expert input.

You're missing the fucking point. Yes, I absolutely believe it was a Nazi salute. I'm saying it's not the reporter's job to say it was. A reporter should tell what happened, get Musk's side, then present evidence from other sources that may or may not contradict him. How is that hard to understand?

Seems to me this Times reporter did exactly what she was supposed to do. A reporter's job is not to give an opinion; that's the job of an editorial board or an opinion columnist, and why am I even bothering? I won't go any further because it's useless. Your mind is made up and no one can change it.

How is the @nytimes.com responsible for Trump? The editorial board endorsed Harris and specifically warned its readers about the dangers of electing Trump to a second term.

And as I've said before, don't blame Trump for this. Blame those who voted for him and those who enable him. (That includes the Republicans who didn't vote to convict after Trump's impeachment.) They are the reason Trump has power. The blood is on THEIR hands.
