Father to Ava-Jane and the other one who doesn’t want to be mentioned on social media. One-time podcaster, supporter of history podcasts. And I have a day job.
@alexpodyssey.bsky.social I have finally got round to the Medusa ep. I like to store Podysseys for just the right moment, when I can devote attention and listen through undisturbed. It accompanied me on a lovely autumnal dog walk and prepping hearty Sunday fare for student son and pals.

@gabyhinsliff.bsky.social justice read your column in the Guardian - that was very good. I can’t be convinced of the need for ID cards. I have lived abroad and I missed the feeling of not having to carry a card to prove who I am.

@ohgodwhatnow.bsky.social we’ve had some sad departures from the show but new regulars @youngvulgarian.marieleconte.com and @mattgreencomedy.com are wonderful. And @rostaylor.bsky.social has always steered the ship expertly - may she (the ship!) sail on for many years yet.

Appalled to see this image of Donald Trump and the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein projected onto Windsor Castle.

Please... for the love of all that is good, do not share it on all your social media channels... because it simply wouldn't be done to remind the world of the association

@quietriotpod.bsky.social I enjoy wokey-dokey very much but bloody hell, the theme tune doesn’t half stuck in one’s head longer than one might want! The Battle of Hastings ones were very funny if predictable.

The The Diseased chapter is your best yet IMHO. I hadn’t realised how the Flu pandemic mapped so neatly into our own experience.

@sturdyalex.bsky.social just listening to The Making Of ep with @pimlicat.bsky.social. Re the release schedule - surely for something as timeless as this doesn’t need to be rushed or be a cause for stress. 1/2

@trientertainment.bsky.social with the announcement that the season finale of Doctor Who is to be shown in cinemas, would Richard like to say, “I told you so”?

Could I make a small suggestion/request. Could the Trawl Meets eps also go on the Patreon feed? I only listen to the Trawl on Patreon, not normal Apple but realised I was missing the Meets.

Happy World Down’s Syndrome Day to all who celebrate! I have got my, very dull, odd socks on.

@alicefraser.bsky.social I am a British person with sheep so farming adjacent but I haven’t heard anyone explain the intractable problem with British farming than Alice Fraser, a Buddhist (is that right?) Australian comedian on the Bugle this week!
