Some memories of last week's Dublin visit of President of the European Research Council @erc.europa.eu, Prof Maria Leptin @marialep.bsky.social

The keynote speaker at an ERC Impact Forum hosted by Research Ireland, Prof. Leptin also held a series of engagements with research and political leaders.

Very productive visit from ERC President Maria Leptin - on the same page as our Taoiseach and Minister for Science when it comes to the need for increased funding for science in Ireland and Europe and ERC independence
Back in Dublin - and what a warm welcome!

Valuable in-depth conversation with @micheal-martin.bsky.social. Thanks Taoiseach for your support!

Also much enjoyed meeting minister @LawlessJ. Glad to see we have shared priorities.

And huge thanks to Luke O’Neill!

Did a bit of science and music tourism in Soho, London today- the pump which John Snow showed was the source of the 1854 cholera outbreak and Trident studios where Bowie recorded Space Oddity and Beatles Hey Jude.
