Look at this gorgeous Ranma-chan grafitti (yes, it's all paint) on a small street shop in Mexico City. The lineart is excellent, and the glitch effect is top notch. Respect.

Even consumer-level hi-tech had drab colors and (faux-)wood paneling, and no amount of Patrick Nagel, Lisa Frank, Trapper Keeper rose-tinted nostalgia can erase that fact.

The borough where I drew this yesterday gives me a lot of nostalgic vibes because that's where my grandma used to work, and when either my gramps or my aunt went to pick her up after work I used to tag along and walk around it to go buy my Ahoy!, RUN and Compute's Gazette magazines.

You can say many things about the ALF cartoon spin-off, but an undeniable one is how its vehicles (and overall tech, come to think of it) had this crazy, absolutely fucking beautiful, almost Darrowesque sense of design.
