Have been busy over the weekend taking part in the Big River Watch across the beautiful county of Northumberland

Look who I met this morning at a newly created urban pond near me. This pond brings wildlife to a new urban development and has colonisedcreally quickly from what was a building site 3 years ago.

During #mentalhealthawarenessweek I spoke to @nationaltrust.org.uk legators at beautiful Little Moreton Hall. I talked about the impact of nature & culture & beauty on our wellbeing just as Octavia Hill,founder member, foresaw. Gifts in wills can fund wellness & so much more. Thanks to our donors.

Lovely afternoon out doing pond surveys for The Freshwater Habitats Trust. Ponds really support a wide range of plants and wildlife and so help with biodiversity. Even found some new ponds not previously mapped!

Look at the social benefit of investing in social care. Why wouldn’t we continue to fund this work and develop it further? #providersunite

Look at how many people are employed in social care. Just how many of these jobs is the government putting at risk and what will this mean for people needing care, the NHS and the costs associated with unemployment. Why? #providersunite

Lovely walk with my dog Stan today on Bamburgh beach. Just look at that ethereal light. And now the sky is full of stars with no light pollution. Think myself very lucky.
