like I’m a blue haired they/them that paints their nails slutty colors and has no problem gender bending a fit

I also have plenty of traditional masculine virtues incl. “involved in community organizations”, “catholic”, “takes care of my parents”, “self-reliant”, because I’m not a fucking baby

The Supreme Court cannot “uphold the longstanding principle” or “strike down birthright citizenship.” The Supreme Court can follow the plain text of the constitution or declare itself in rebellion to the constitution. These are the only two options wrt birthright citizenship and the 14th Amendment.

Reminding myself that fearing people secretly hate me is part of the mental illness. BUT what if there are people who quite openly hate me and I just don't know them? Is that also part of the mental illness?

If you went back in time and told Gordon Brown's government that "In 2025, Bill Kristol will be to the social left of the Labour Party currently in government", they'd think you'd gone mad

heroic self-sacrifice remains but its generally in the scope of martyrdom etc. theres very little consistent, quiet sacrifice for the sake of a greater principle, even if it hurts, even if its not cathartic--this is the core thing. we still get sacrifice but it always functions as catharsis.

You aren’t going to believe this. But there’s an important distinction between detaining someone as a law enforcement action in an interdiction and summarily killing them.
If the US Coast Guard stops a ship in international waters and seizes their cocaine, is that a war crime? The ship has not done anything illegal. Should we prosecute the Coast Guard Captain for piracy?

I believe that they have the right to a fair trial, advice of counsel, and proof must be shown beyond a reasonable doubt.

If conviction follows we should follow the law.
this isn't fedposting, or shouldn't be. one of the penalties for what pete hegseth and general bradley has apparently done -- what bradley has admitted to -- is death. after a finding of precisely what he admitted to.

"the government should try, convict and then kill the secretary of defense for the crime he very obviously seems to have committed" seems like a radical thing to say, but -- no, it's not. it's the actual penalty for what pete hegseth, a man who ordered death squads to murder civilians, has done.

the thing is that blowing up drug boats is just murder. no law licenses it. it is just war crimes. but to say out loud what the penalty for committing them is puts us in the position of accusing high government officials of capital crimes.

it is critically important to be able to say the obvious.

Not me wondering when the Miami Boys Choir got involved in Quebec politics
i suspect that MBC will try getting PSPP to lean into more French identitarian views and this will alienate female voters in Quebec while moving male voters into his camp
women are Canada's strongest soldiers (i think this was true of the past referendum too?)

One of the most striking things about these ICE/BP raids is not that they’re all kitted out for war while going after people who didn’t do anything wrong and don’t pose a threat, but that they always bring a camera crew.
