I want AI to do the laundry and my admin while I write and illustrate books.

I don't want AI to write and illustrate books while I do the laundry and admin.

Accepted an invitation to a career-related opportunity, though I still don't know if things will work out, or how I'll be able to get some financial assistance for this. The equivalent of just closing my eyes and taking a leap of faith.

The thing about the current local literary discourse (as with the case with all other issues), is that it's not really a conversation. It's just people speaking over each other, or writing long essays about their views. And no one listens to anyone with an opinion that does not match theirs.

Started watching "Romantics Anonymous" and this is making me crave chocolates so bad huhu. And omg first few minutes I already love Sosuke (played by Oguri Shun) because of this: "I refused to use cacao that was not sourced fairly or legitimately." OH yes😭

On the AI thing again, quite disappointed that one of my co-faculty friends actually asked her students to use AI in the drawing activity for our mentoring session today😣This...is not cool huhu 😭

A bit ironic that a former resident who was toxic to you when you were junior interns is now talking about how toxic environments and bullying in the workplace can prevent collaboration and lead to harm to colleagues and ultimately to patients. Yes, we know. 😅

Unfortunately an unpopular opinion, but educators who push for the use of generative AI in the curriculum do not truly understand what it does.

Another day of wondering when our romance and YA books will ever be recognized by other people as also socially relevant (and recommended to other doctors and allied health professionals as depicting their issues and lives accurately)😅

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

It's so nice when people discover your old works, and actually seem to like them, huhu. It's been so long since I wrote that short story, and it feels great to have new readers discovering it again.

I should not be watching Light Shop (2024 Korean series) at night because some parts can be creepy, but I can't stop watching. It's intriguing enough to keep me hooked, but at what cost ahaha 🥲

I found out that Bibliophile Princess Volumes 7-9 were finally on Everand, and binged them all today. Christopher, you wonderful man you huhu. 😭

Some romance wisdom to you from me:

"Don't say it's a romance if there is no Happy Ever After. And, you know, don't put a cartoon cover on it if it's a book about, like, dismemberment and is really, really miserable."

I needed something light this time and "Why I Dress Up For Love" seems to be exactly what I needed! I haven't felt this kilig because of a show in quite a while haha. I love it so far 😄

It can take years to write a story, several more to sell it, and then several more for it to be published. And once it is published, there’s sadly no guarantee the story will find its readers. So if you’re writing stories, you better make sure you’re writing stories that you enjoy.

I also know that I'm getting better when I finally am writing again 😊 (Especially when I'm writing romance again!) I did have time before, but I just could not find the energy to.

I am slowly finding renewed passion and enthusiasm for things, especially teaching, which was part of my frustration last year, I now realize. Teaching had always been fulfilling for me, but last year, since I was given a more supervisory position, it took away some of that joy I once had.

Maybe I'm just in a mood, but some people are particularly annoying and noisy online today ehehe 😅

Beginner-friendly hike", they said. "Short and easy, you'll just be enjoying the view most of the time". A scam ahahahuhu 😅

"ChatGPT is great for brainstorming!"

Actually we have a tool for that already! It's called thinking. We use our brain. It's called brainstorming! Clue is in the name.

Submitted the thing! As usual just a couple of hours from the deadline, ahaha. I know it's a long shot because I'm not a clinician, and maybe their experiences would be far more interesting to the judges, but let's see🤞At least I gave it a shot!
Finally finished the essay I'm writing! But I'm still not happy with how I ended it somehow🥲 I should give it a rest and just continue editing it tomorrow, with fresh eyes.

Not a teacher I look up to mentioning in his inspirational talk that he asked ChatGPT and Gemini for a definition of a word 🥲
