Please, Apple, do this one right.
Neuromancer by @greatdismal.bsky.social finally gets a TV series. Could be amazing, but expectations will be high from all of us who read these books when we were young.

Count Zero was a personal fave.
Apple TV's New Cyberpunk Show That Was Called 'Unfilmable' Is the Sci-Fi Event of the Decade
One book-to-screen adaptation that was once thought impossible is finally coming to Apple TV next year--and we couldn't be more excited.

This is one of the cool things about getting older - watching science find new things that were once myths.

As a kid in the 1970s most info I read (from a decade or two before, given the books available) said Giant Squids were just a myth.

or Dinosaurs *may* have had feathers but we'll never know.
I get that the news cycle is packed right now, but I just heard from a colleague at the Smithsonian that this is fully a GIANT SQUID BEING EATEN BY A SPERM WHALE and it’s possibly the first ever confirmed video according to a friend at NOAA

People that used to complain that Wikipedia was not trustworthy because anyone can edit an article, do they use LLMs? Do they ask them for advice? Trust their output?

soldan@rebel.ar - Oesterheld no escribió solo "El Eternauta". Fue un autor sumamente prolifico. La mayor parte de su obra está perdida en revistas de los 50s,60s y 70s que nunca se reeditaron. Por eso  les dejo este torrent con todo lo que existe de HGO. ¡Compartan!

I think we have advanced enough that we can replace all linters with AI linters. No more "this looks better but breaks rule 34" issues.

Excited to announce the official launch of our online book, WebAssembly from the Ground Up! 🎉

It's the book we wish we'd had 3 years ago.

No messing with tools and frameworks. It's a hands-on guide to the core of Wasm: the instruction set and module format.

Which one is the best AI? One of those pirate AIs, trained with all the illegal material.

If only we could make big corpos respect copyright :)
I think I may have just signed my first ever fiction contract (for an anthology) which contained a long anti-A.I. clause.

(Meaning: I promised I didn't use A.I. to write my story, they promised not to use my story to train A.I., etc.)
