Never underestimate the power of ignorance, stupidity, racism, bigotry, misogyny, greed and sociopathy. And always remember 77.3m people voted to elect a man president they know is a serial adulterer and was convicted for sexual assault.

Congressional leaders need to let Trump know he better not move Venezuela now (or ever) while this is being investigated. This may be much worse than Bush and Iraq/Afghanistan. There is zero evidence that we need to start military action against Venezuela. 100% wagging the dog/distraction.

Sadly, one in three female victims of completed or attempted rape experienced it for the first time between the ages of 11 and 17. Usually it is our fathers, uncles, family friend etc. So many men rape children it is almost like Trump is tapping into an American tradition. www.nsvrc.org/statistics/

Jeffries: Democrats are going to offer an amendment to get that self dealing sick provision out… The notion that Republicans would give themselves the ability to rip millions of taxpayer dollars away so they can line their pockets, because these people were insurrectionist sympathizers is insanity.

Tucked into a spending bill that is part of the deal to end the government shutdown is a provision that would allow GOP senators to personally sue the federal government for as much as $500K over Special Counsel Jack Smith’s lawful search of their phone records.

It's the first Friday of the month, which means we've gone 2 months now without a jobs report. For Trump, this is a feature of the shutdown, not a bug, since private surveys show the job market slowing dramatically. But without official data he's able to keep lying about it.

SNAP has existed for 60 years. Benefits have gone out every single month over those six decades, including during government shutdowns. Until now.

Make no mistake: The money is available to fund SNAP during this shutdown. Trump is making a choice to withhold it.

Don’t forget this.

"Let me be clear: The president has both the funding and the authority to fund SNAP during a shutdown. In fact, every other president in every other shutdown has done so. People going hungry in this instance is a choice that this president has made.”
