Given the first half red, a point is obviously not ever what you’d want, but I’ll take it in the context of the injuries & fixtures earlier in the week.

Arsenal very much looked like a team missing 5 starters that also played a derby followed by the in form team in Europe earlier this week. #CHEARS

Saka just absolutely skinned the poodle. You love to see it. Now go get the winner! #CHEARS

100% this
Not that I had much respect for Moises Caicedo, but whatever was there is gone with his faking an injury and acting surprised at his straight red.

Just own it, dude. You're a violent player. You know you're a violent player. Don't try to con your way out of it. Take your lumps with your head up.

Super excited to watch a second half where Chelsea make a meal out of every challenge trying to get Anthony Taylor to even things up with a soft second yellow (which he almost certainly will do). 🙄 #CHEARS

How has Caicedo only ever been sent off twice? One of the most consistently out of control players in the league week in week out. #CHEARS
November 30, 2025 at 5:10 PM
If that’s not a red for Caicedo then I don’t know what we’re even doing. Now he’s faking an injury to con the ref. Get that out of control idiot off. #CHEARS
November 30, 2025 at 5:06 PM
How many more stern warnings is that poodle going to get from Taylor rather than a second yellow? Over/Under set at 3. #CHEARS
November 30, 2025 at 5:05 PM
Caicedo is (as usual) out of control. That should already be a second yellow for his second time shoving over a player and making no attempt to play the ball, but of course he’s not even on a yellow. #CHEARS

Only 13 minutes in and I’m already convinced Anthony Taylor is going to send someone off in this match.

Odds are they’ll be wearing red too, based on what he’s already let slide for those in blue. #CHEARS

Wearing your Harvard sweatshirt as you sit on your laptop taking up a 4-top table in a slammed cafe as people stand around you with no place to sit really screams “I’m smart enough to know how much of an asshole I’m being, I just don’t care.”

How have MLS refs not caught on to Chicho’s diving by now? Oh, right, they’re just terrible at their jobs and there is no accountability for referees ever. #SJvSTL

Dominating Forest without Saka, Saliba, Havertz, or Ødegaard (& not starting Rice) shows Arsenal have more depth than they’ve had the past three seasons. #ARSNFO

The next two league matches against Man City & Newcastle should reveal the level of quality of that depth.

Big next couple of weeks.

I do not understand why anyone would expect Newcastle to thank Isak after the way he behaved to force this move.

He had multiple years left on his deal, the only party (if any) who deserve thanks is Newcastle FROM Isak for not holding him to the deal he freely signed.

Let the world see what all MLS fans have known for two years: Miami are spoiled babies with thin skin who get preferential treatment from the league and can’t perform when the pressure is on. Good for Seattle, deserved winners. Miami is an embarrassment. #LeaguesCup #SEAvMIA

Nearly every big match is cagey, & this one was no different. Don’t let the idiots wind you up about “not going for it” remember Arsenal had more shots (2x their shots in the box), more xG, almost 2x their touches in the box and almost 3x corners.

That free kick? You have to tip your cap. #LIVARS

We need a petition to ban Lee Dixon from doing comms on Arsenal matches in the U.S.

Always full of terrible takes and always sides with whoever Arsenal is playing. He seems to hate Arsenal as much as Gary Neville does.

Almost the exact lineup I expected if Ødegaard wasn’t fit to start.

Midfield looks set up to have less possession than usual but should dominate physically.

Calafiori the only slight surprise, but he’ll have space to exploit with Szoboszlai at RB and help defensively from Martinelli. #LIVARS

PGMOL bailing out both Chelsea and Man U in the same day is very typical premier league scriptwriting.

But watching how hard Man U celebrated that winner over a newly-promoted Burnley really shows how far they’ve fallen. #MUNBUR
August 30, 2025 at 4:06 PM
So PGMOL took away a good Fulham goal, then Chelsea scored in the 9th minute of 8 minutes stoppage time b/c of the unnecessary VAR review, and now VAR has also given Chelsea a penalty for a handball after ignoring a Chelsea handball in the build up to that same play. Did I get that right? #CHEFUL
August 30, 2025 at 12:59 PM
How on earth did VAR take away that beautiful first ever goal for King? Absolute disgrace, nothing “careless” about winning the ball & accidentally standing on the foot of a defender who was late to the challenge. Another moment ruined by PGMOL’s obsession with being the center of attention. #CHEFUL
