Fingers crossed! It would be great to see more linguistic knowledge in general but I don't think it will be implemented fully until more teachers are confident with it.

There are schools out there doing great stuff at secondary but my impression is it’s not the norm. I’m worried the the well is already poisoned and the removal of the grammar element of SATs will mean an even more reduced role in future

Gemini, genocide, gentle, gentleman, agenda, gentrified, genes, gender, general, Genesis, genitals, genetics, genius...

My guess would be that these (gin, ginger, ginseng, jinx, Jenga) aren't cognates?
