For example, in this specific instance a trans woman was treated as a woman for the purpose of facilitating an arrest for breaching public decency laws, and then treated as a man to maximise the potential for harm to come to her while in jail.

🔭Multiple pinhole images of the Sun on my bed.
Making a short video, I realized I could see the current big sunspot as a very faint spot moving along with the bright circles.

Imagine building this ornate planetarium with an ornery and then in the year it opens astronomers discover the very first new planet.
Today I visited THE OLDEST PLANETARIUM IN THE WORLD!!! 🤩

The Eise Eisinga planetarium opened to the world in 1781 after seven years construction in Eisinga’s living/ bed room in Frankaner, The Netherlands. It still works perfectly today for the six planets known at the time

Google helpfully pointed me at an entertaining new app: Galactic Compass. If you have your location on, it points the direction to Sgr A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy. 🧪🔭

Of course many other apps can help you find it, but this has just 1 big friendly green arrow:

It's amazing how far camera technology has come! This is what the Pleiades looked like in 1909 with a (at the time) state-of-the-art 6" telescope here in Heidelberg, Germany.

A poorly steadied phone picture of some stars in 2024 isn't too far off from being better 😵‍💫 🔭
