Librarian, animal-lover, ecstatic grandma, addicted to pickleball, supporter of our Democracy. (Yes, I know we’re a Constitutional Republic.). Taking an art class to relax but it’s so stressful because I suck at it.
Why aren’t Christian religious leaders in our country speaking out about the treatment of immigrants? Are they afraid? Or just derelict in their duty to follow the teachings of Christ?

“The abuse of buying & selling votes crept in and money began to play an important part in determining elections. Later on, this process of corruption spread to the law courts. And then to the army, & finally the Republic was subjected to the rule of emperors.” Plutarch

Today, MAGA is losing it over this video of Pete Hegseth SLAMMING Trump.

“All bluster, very low substance… he’s an armchair tough guy. He said that John McCain is not a war hero yet he sought his own five military deferments.”

RT to ruin Trump’s day!

Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems like the morning news is downplaying or ignoring the report from Jack Smith. Did I miss the coverage?

Long but an important summary of our current situation.

Congress wants to give themselves a 40% raise? Who gets a raise like that for doing the same job? Meanwhile, they want to cut programs for those with much less than them? Plus they have good medical ins & a pension if they serve 5 years or more? Yet the fed min wage is $7.35 hr & has been since 2009

The MSM has conceded the field on the first play. They will be nothing but stenographers for Trump & I believe have sealed their own fate into obscurity. IDems need to develop new methods of communications with some standout representatives. The old way isn’t going to work.

Once these R senators knuckle under to the pressure to vote for the host of unqualified & flawed cabinet nominees, they’ve lost & the blackmail will continue for every issue going forward.

“Competence, experience, and integrity are no longer requirements for positions of the highest authority and responsibility in the U.S. government. Trump’s nominees are a threat to our national security and the rule of law. Putin couldn’t have asked for more.”

Trump’s New Team Is a Gift to America’s Enemies
Their incompetence will weaken the United States. Their instability will leave them vulnerable to being compromised.

Eighty % of Americans agree that SS benefits shouldn’t be cut. Yet, Rs keep bringing it up. Who specifically:
Rep McCormick
Sen Lee
Musk amplified Sen Lees tweet supporting cuts
Trump has changed his opinion over the years so who knows?
In the past, Vivek has said he is “up for” entitlement reform.

This fills me with rage! At Trump & Musk, of course, but also at the people who voted for when they should have known better
Musk, who is worth 100's of billions, who isn't even from this country tells every day Americans who put into SS their whole lives that we'll have to suffer hardships during a time when the economy hasn't been this good in 5 decades

Ya'll better be financially ready to support ur retired parents

Sad but true! The Dems didn’t give enough importance to the danger ahead. Biden should have spent 4 yrs preparing for the 2024 election. Doing good things for the citizenry wasn’t enough. Unfortunately, perception is everything. A stellar candidate w/o a lot of baggage would have helped too.
It's all up to us. We need to move past this phase of "Why won't they DO something" and accept that they've all willingly abandoned us to the wolves. No resistance effort ever succeeds by waiting around for someone else to do the dirty work for them. No salvation is coming. It's OUR job, always was.

I feel there is just a general disbelief & lack of imagination amongst a segment of the population. They grew up with American exceptionalism & think we are above it. Others are paying no attention whatsoever & others support it.
The sooner we realize we have been checkmated by these psychopaths, the sooner we can start the revolution.
Putin, Xi and the PayPal Mafia are executing a global takeover.

Donald Trump is a vessel, a conman groomed by Russian intelligence since the 1980s. Peter Thiel and Elon Musk are Nazi immigrants executing a takedown of the US government.

If we do not sabotage this, it’s over.

They’re selling you a bill of goods, and the fine print says, "Good luck getting your country back." Project 2025 isn’t about fixing anything for you or me. It’s about breaking every system that protects us. They dress it up as efficiency, but don’t be fooled.

Too many can’t see this! They put faith where it doesn’t belong.
Our real problem is wealth inequality and the rise of oligarchy.

I don’t care if you’re R or D or I or whatever.

That’s what is actually going on here.

Unfortunately, the country voted for someone who is dead set on making the oligarchy stronger.

They don’t care about us.

So Hegseth doesn’t have a moral bone in his body?
1. It's impossible to control whether GOP Senators rubberstamp Trump's nominees

But it is possible to make more people aware of exactly who Trump is trying to install in these powerful positions

Here are 13 things everyone should know about Pete Hegseth, Trump's nominee for Secretary of Defense

Many people I talk to either don’t see this or just don’t want to see this.
If you don't believe what you see and hear with your own eyes and ears – that Trump is modeling himself after H–tler, Mussolini, Kim Jong Un, etc. – then you're either lying, don't know history, or you're in midst of extreme Cognitive-Emotional Dissonance/Ontological Shock.
