A collage with fabrics and yarns and an actual cat bell, with a purple bow on Ed’s hair. The dark blue fabric that is the night sky has glitter in it for the stars. Stede’s shirt is a red silky fabric, which I folded to look like the shape of his shoulder and back. Ed’s onesie is jute. Stede’s hair is yellow and mustard yarn and Ed’s hair and beard have three different tones of grey yarn. I braided brown strings to make the cat collar. Their skin is made of a very thin fabric and Ed has two tones of brown while Stede has one pinkish. Behind Ed, in the right side of the screen, there’s a beige sail made of oxford. I folded in a way to make it look like it has movement.

Sneaking in at the end of the day (my time anyway!) for #ofmdsleepweek ! Day 3 prompt: Sleeping Together

Ed and Stede sleeping together on a mattress on the floor, sunlight beaming in stripes over them. Stede is starfishing on his stomach across the whole bed, and Ed is curled into his side with an arm around Stede's waist, a leg over Stede's thigh and his head buried so tight into Stede's side and underarm you can only see the mass of his silver curls. They wear white night gowns, Ed's rucked up to show bare legs, and Stede's baring his backside. They both have heart tattoos on an ass cheek with the other's name. Stede also wears a patchy, homemade sleep mask embroidered with hearts. Their blanket has been kicked to the end of the mattress so they're uncovered, and Ed's pillow is mostly on the floor. They're surrounded by belongings scattered on the floor: two 18th century style leather bound books, a feather quill, glasses, and a tea saucer holding rings for Stede's side, and more rings, a small bottle of oil, the black cravat and a homemade looking pillow with clumsy embroidery of flowers, a skull, a snake, and a golden fish tail, on Ed's side. At the head of the bed is their pair of daggers. Straw pokes out of the mattress in a few places.
