I finished reading this proof 10 days ago & have had 🤞 since then that @kitdewaal.bsky.social would be available to come to Marlborough LitFest. Sadly she isn't, but now I can say how much I LOVE this book & exhort anyone who enjoys excellent, compassionate fiction to read it. Out on 10 April.

These are still flowering in my garden in Wiltshire. Beautiful to see (and, in the case of the rose, smell) them, but it doesn't feel right.

Really enjoying How to Think Like a Woman by Regan Penaluna. It's a perfect balance of philosophy and memoir and a great starting point for discovering female philosophers who haven't received as much attention as they merit.
