Just let this sink in

In 2016 Vote Leave marginally won

The UK gov knew of Russian interference to deliver Brexit

And despite that, May, Johnson, Truss, Sunak, and now Starmer have chosen to do what Putin wants- weaken Europe- instead of protect our democracy from Putin

Shameful

Ukraine has fought too hard for its freedom, only to have its future dictated by Putin and Trump behind closed doors.

Any peace must guarantee Ukraine’s sovereignty and security on terms acceptable to Ukrainians, not just to Moscow and Mar-a-Lago.

The BBC are not hiding it any more.

Yesterday they suggested bad economic news would put the Chancellor under pressure.

Today, the news was more positive...so the BBC have come out with 2 stories personally attack the Chancellor.

Why don't they like successful, powerful and competent women?

"The so-called 'Boriswave' is the surge in immigration (mostly from outside the EU) that has been unleashed as part of Boris Johnson's Brexit deal. This led to net migration rising from 184,000 in 2019 to a staggering and unprecedented 906,000 in 2023."

I hope someone looks into slimy Chris Masons career, just as he and his colleagues at the BBC. have done with Rachel Reeves.
If you look hard enough, you will find similar "errors" on most peoples CV's, his included.
He belongs in a gossip mag, rather than being the BBC Political Editor.

Brexit harms the British people. It means living standards held back, higher taxes, reduced welfare spending, crippled government services, and a lower budget for the NHS. Rejoining the EU is not something to be postponed to an indefinite future. Every day of Brexit means more damage.

Extraordinary experience. Disturb three people riffling through bags unlikely to be their own on the edge of a local park. They pedal away. We pack all the stuff we can see & carry the 4 bags to our magnificent local (Black Dog, Brentford). We all post about it. Victim arrives 40 minutes later.

Both in the news today for differing reasons. Michael Sheen who remortgaged his house to fund the Homeless World Cup, Jeremy Clarkson who bought a farm to evade tax.

I have to say the whining by the farmers is far more pathetic than about Private School VAT.

They are literally demanding to be exempted from tax so the same people can own 90% of the UK forever.

It is disgusting arrogance.

When first started working I worked for a large company which had a union, excellent T&Cs,pay etc and company made a good profit everyone happy, Now same company no union, small core of permanent workers with terrible T&Cs and the rest are on zero hours contracts, can be sent home at a moment's notice
Without trade unions & the workers willing to back them we wouldn’t have

• a minimum wage

• maternity & paternity rights

• pension provision

• holiday & sickness entitlements

victories which have benefited every single person in this country

A word on the Allison Pearson free speech row, and what she describes as a ‘Kafkaesque’ threat to it. We asked her on @thenewsagents.bsky.social to discuss.
She said: ‘No. And if you get any aspect of the story wrong my lawyers will be watching.’
