Lloyd Runnett will seek reelection to the Mineral District seat on the Louisa County School Board. Runnett was appointed to the seat in March 2022 following the death of Sherman Shifflett. He was elected to the seat in a special election that November.

This is a strong R district, stretching from exurban Richmond almost to Lynchburg. Rs will choose their nominee at a mass meeting on Dec. 13. There are 7 contenders. Louisa resident Jack Trammell is the D nominee.

In an email to supporters, former state Sen. Amanda Chase reminds voters she doesn’t take $ from Dominion Energy, a state-regulated monopoly, & suggests Louisa BOS Chair Duane Adams would be a shill for the company, sharing what looks like an email from Dom’s PAC encouraging folks to support Adams.

SD10 is a strong R district stretching from exurban Richmond nearly to Lynchburg. It includes most of Louisa County.
