Starmer’s deal with the EU is designed to make our lives better. The EU obviously wanted something in return for a deal. Anything they wanted was always going to annoy someone in the UK. The alternative is to make no deals with foreign countries and watch the UK decline further.

It's time for British politicians to accept that the British people have already accepted that Brexit was a mistake.

"Age verification" laws are actually "upload your ID or get your face scanned to access every website, ending anonymity and associating your identity with everything you do online" laws and if more people understood that they would not be down for this authoritarian nonsense

Mel Stride says "the Chancellor should be at her station" during some market fluctuation.

Zero pushback from LauraK.

And yet Kwarteng was in the US during an ACTUAL disorderly bond crisis. FAMOUSLY sacked while flying back.

How can the BBC's top interviewer fail to make such easy connections?

Well, except for the great sodding boulder that is membership of the single market. But no stone other than that one.
Statement goes on: "UK debt is the second lowest in the G7 and only the OBR’s forecast can accurately predict how much headroom the government has - anything else is pure speculation"...and says Reeves is going to leave "no stone unturned in her determination to deliver economic growth".

Today is an object lesson in the radicalisation of the British right-wing press. Britain is being disparaged and insulted by a foreign far-right conspiracy theorist. But the Mail, the Express, the Telegraph and even the Times choose focus their criticisism on the British prime minister instead.

We can either let Reform and co keep boasting cutting ties with other nations is smart, or tell the truth about the benefits of cooperation. 1/2

We're nearly at the first full calendar year-end of the Gaza war. The normalisation of both (i) the enormous bloodshed (ii) and journalists still not being allowed in by the Israeli govt to report as to what's happening have been some of the grimmer features of the year.

Still, at least we live in a country where people who went to prison for assaulting their girlfriend can become Reform Party Members of Parliament.

Private sector employment in December fell by more than during any month since January 2021. UK companies cutting employee numbers at the fastest rate since the pandemic.

Wait did I read this right? That Streeting has banned PBs only for gender dysphoria/incongruence but not precocious puberty or other uses? So the ‘powerful’ drugs (according to the trans hater Cass) are safe for others just not trans kids who are at a higher risk of suicide? Make it make sense.

The entire report at the NHS on suicides after restrictions were placed on puberty blockers left out a high profile suicide death. They manipulated the numbers to get the headlines they wanted to continue banning care.
BREAKING

On the day the UK government announces a permanent puberty blocker ban I learn:

ALICE’S DATA WAS NOT INCLUDED in data sent to Appleby to assess for his rushed DHSC report, that dismissed whistleblower claims of increased suicides in trans youth since Bell.

The report is a proven sham.

The Labour Government has confirmed they invited numerous known hate groups and pro-conversion orgs to give evidence for their closed consultation on the puberty blocker ban, including Bayeswater Support, LGB Alliance, CAN-SG, Transgender Trend and Sex Matters.

Never let them forget this choice.

Today I took part in a panel in work and was honest and open about my ADHD and how it’s impacted my career and life. It was a scary but uplifting moment. Probably overshared some of my ‘flexibility’ but it made me think, if I helped one person that’s enough for me.
