Just a couple charts from a 2021 journal article on the rise of political violence in the United States...
A graph showing the percentage of partisans who believe violence to advance their political goals is "sometimes justified." It shows Dems slightly ahead of R's from 2017-2019 before R's climb past while D's level at 16% A year-by-year graph, starting in 2000, for terrorism in the US by ideology of the perpetrator. Far-right, almost non-existent before 2011, blasts past single-issue incidents in 2016 and, in 2019, exceeds 50+ incidents, more than double the number of all other categories (far-left, religious, single issue and environmentalist) combined.
