The underlying theme this week during my time with the Lord has been “God is in Control.” Everything I’ve read, studied, listened to has pointed to that.

Netflix need to give everybody a free 6 months for that. That’s what we get though. It was entertainment not boxing.

Listened to the sermon the other day by John Piper about how God uses Satan…bruh!

It really put perspective on how in control God actually is. Faith is about to be on a different level.

Aside from Steph being Steph, Warriors offense looks good. Buddy Hield in Klay’s old role might have them back in contention.

Recap: I thought MSU played well against Kansas last night. We missed a few open shots that we needed to fall. A good barometer for where we are so early in the season.

I’m looking forward to seeing Jase Richardson’s role grow this season.

My approach to reading the scriptures is pretty simple.

- Ask God for the Holy Spirit to give me insight and wisdom

- Ask the text questions. This starts research.

- Then how does this point to Jesus since the whole book is about Him.

- How should I apply the precepts in the passage to my life.

Doing a study of the book of Deuteronomy. Today covered Chapter 6. My takeaways:

1. God’s blessings often come with instructions on how to steward them.

2. Obedience to Him can sometimes determine the length and strength of your blessing.

3. God is God by himself and deserves all of our love.
