Liberals and Conservatives tend to brag about investments their governments have made in the North. I always point out that those investments have not been enough. Nunavummiut are still faced with food insecurity, unsafe unhealthy homes, & high cost of living. The federal government must do more.

In Question Period today, I asked the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations whether her government will honour UNDRIP. The Assembly of First Nations is concerned about PM Carney's One Project One Review fast-tracking of development in their territories without free, prior and informed consent.

I attended an opening ceremony of the Long Term care facility. What a beautiful place! It sounds like there will be great care.
I am thankful that some elders will get care closer to home. Elders have been through so much in their lifetimes and they deserve good care.
