The less Republican congressmen can vote, the better off we are. Unless they come back with a spine, integrity or a newfound understanding of the oath that they took to uphold the constitution and to represent their constituents, their presence in DC won’t improve things.

“The benchmark 10-year Treasury
yield rose Tuesday as markets grew optimistic that a prolonged government shutdown could be”…ending? There is no reason for optimism. The next Trump-driven fiasco is just around the corner. The chaos of Trump’s economic agenda will destroy any reason for optimism.

Who do you vote for when one party is fascistic and intent on destroying democracy and the other is a group of feckless idiots who, repeatedly, cave to a lunatic? Of course, you have to vote for the feckless idiots! That is our choice. Time for new leadership. The current one gave us Trump, twice!

lol “end the shut down”. There will be no back pay, they still won’t release SNAP funding (because they spent it), insurance premiums will increase, government still short staffed, everything expensive. It’s going to get worse.

Trump and Co are terrorists. You don’t negotiate with terrorists.

So, people can pay even more in interest over an insanely long period of time. A lender’s dream. A mortgage holder’s nightmare.

There is no nation-wide redistricting battle. The GOP, in states they control, are, mid cycle, redrawing districts and increasing the actual number of Republican seats. 5 to 2, suddenly becomes 10 to 2. Dems are responding to insure fair elections. It’s not a battle, it is defense of democracy.

China is not playing a “canny game” in its contest with America for global influence. Trump has handed them that on a gold-plated platter. And, he is, no doubt, personally making billions on his manipulation of the market. He acts in ways that guarantee the demise of America as a global player.

What did we win? What the f*** was the point of the shutdown?
Democrats dominate Election Day and the Senate's response is to cave? For a vote NEXT month on ACA? That needs 60 votes to pass (won't happen). Then needs a vote in the House (won't happen) and signed by Trump (never).
Schumer screwed us.

As Bernie said, if passed in the Senate, it will not be passed in congress and if it did, Trump can veto it.
Republicans lie. What is wrong with the Democrats?

A Ukrainian intelligence source- “It is time for everyone…to stop messing around”? Is that how he characterizes
Ukraine’s defense efforts? He’s right in one respect. Not taking decisive military action, early on,to defeat Putin was the West and EU’s mistake. It’s time they stopped “messing around”.

The audacity to write of Russia gaining “a sense of courage”! Are they defending themselves? Russian troops are dying because Ukrainians are fighting to save their country from the Russian invasion. Russians are dying as they attack military and civilian targets in Ukraine. They die without a cause.

The ACA can’t be improved because “greedy insurance companies” were given too much input when it was initially proposed. This, to get it passed.
Medicare For All is, and always has been, the best option to get rid of the broken system. Insurance Co. spend millions and hold Americans hostage.

If Trump and Republicans win,
millions of Americans will, lose access to healthcare, either through skyrocketing premiums, closures of facilities, or changing of eligibility requirements. The money saved by depriving Americans healthcare access will go directly to tax cuts for the rich. That’s it.

In its often dual fear of modernity and its intense disdain for education, what anti-immigration zealots seem to be saying is, “we don’t care how our national meddling often created the [needed] climate for emigration what we really fear is knowing how we are the global minority and what it means.”
