The Ainu are an ethnic group of related indigenous peoples native to northern Japan. Their ceremonial robes are decorated with beautiful geometrical patterns. My illustration was inspired by their traditional crane dance.

I've always found it fascinating how bats sleep upside down. With a supernatural transformation, they can become even more menacing in their sleeping position than they appear while flying. 🦇

Made for a free project, a CD Cover and a poster for a reggae album, "Der Bongo Dieb", from an imaginary reggae band, Reggaed Sound.

A poster showcasing the imaginary Reggae band 'Reagged Sound' at the Reggae Island Festival. I used typical reggae colors as well as fluid shapes to give the poster dynamic and summery feel. The title typography radiates sun rays, adding a touch of warmth and energy. In the center focus of the poster is a bongo drum, filled with typographic elements containing essential festival details. Below the drum there is a small Rasta figure, a 'Bongo Dieb' (Bongo thief), failing to cling to the oversized drum. Anubis holding your heart illustration. A lineart of an Ancient Egyptian Deity Anubis, known as a heart weigher: he would weigh the hearts of the mortals to determine if they are worthy of joining the afterlife. In my artwork, he is coming out of the crack in a wall holding a bleeding pink heart organ. Bastet The Cat Goddess. Well known Cat Goddess Bastet is depicted as a bellydancer playing her ancient instrument sistrum. As the music notes gradually diminish in size, they transform into the scales of the nefarious serpent, Apep (also known as Apophis). With menacing fangs and a gaping maw, Apep reveals his ominous presence, adding an element of dark intrigue to the design. The Egyptian god of chaos, Seth, taking the form of a dragon. His eye is peering through a crack and his paw is reaching out. Intricate hieroglyphics spell out his name, a nod to his ancient origins.

The cecropia moth is North America's largest native moth. Moths use light from the moon to find their way in the dark of night so I gave mine a glowing flower to use as a guide.

Luna was my first blender3d project following the course from Yasmin Islas on Domestika. Her work is absolutely amazing and I still use her course for its basic knowledge every time I create something in 3d.

Green Dragontail is a beautiful species of swallowtail butterflies found in parts of South Asia and Southeast Asia. In my illustration, I wanted to highlight its beautiful colors and shapes and emphasize the magical effect it has on me.

The Glass Octopus is nearly transparent, very rarely encountered and the few information scientists have managed to gather comes from specimens found in stomachs of predators. The inside of its head reminds me of the complexity and depth of the universe.
