hard to say. the last three big dumb tech trends have all been software, which is easier to distribute than a robot. maybe like, a timeshare on a robot, or taking out microinvestments on individual burrito taxi robots.

Beyond that, I think about what I need to progress the story, what complications could this character present. I try to aim for including at least one weird belief, major or minor, with each npc. This typically is something that helps flesh out their part in the story.

If I'm having a block, I typically browse Pinterest and create a moodboard for the vaguest idea that I am going for in a character. Even if I can't find anything that works, I start to get an idea of what I'm not looking for.

Any recommendations on crunchy ttrpgs?

I don't know if it's constructive to label *all* homophobes/transphobes as repressed. I have a hard time applying that reasoning to other types of hatemongers, such as racists or misogynists.

I think Walsh just has a sugardaddy oligarch or two that is obsessed with transphobia.
