Tbh wish I got that advice when I was working as a lifeguard at a day camp. I dealt with way too much crap for the pay I made, some of it due to the bosses themselves. Made about $9/hour there. Better job now but still bothers me from time to time.

Apparently yeah and that's very refreshing compared to other platforms (think we all know which ones).

I shouldn't have chuckled about that but I did. I'm sure if I paid more attention back then I would've called a few

It is complicated because the real estate market for starters needs to chill, stuff needs to be done about increasing rent arbitrarily, rising costs, having the time to actually find a potential partner, etc. Definitely worth discussing/pondering rather than sweeping under a rug because complicated.

Scouts in my area and when I was that age sucked. A few did cool projects but never really kept them going afaik. The troop leaders never really seemed to push anything outside of basic knot tying and maybe the occasional camping. Great to see your troop is so different. Keep it up!

I was usually the teacher's pet but I was a dick to some classmates. Glad I outgrew that and less of that is a good thing for sure.

I was on the receiving end of the verbal bullying a lot. I don't wish what happened to me on anyone and I got off very easy compared to many of my generation. I'm genuinely happy seeing kids have a better time than I did. I'll support any program that gives genuine results, like anti-bullying kinds

I'll add to that hot take by saying it's usually people who were bullies or people who were bullied (that want kids to be as miserable as them because little to no empathy) that push against anti-bullying stuff because they know it works. 1/2

That is different than my experience over 15 years ago. I got bullied multiple times (didn't help I wasn't taught how to regulate my outbursts when I already had issues so easy target). Seemed like our peer counselors barely cared about the issue too. So glad your kid is having a better experience!

Kinda had that feeling when Spotify was really cool with Joe Rogan even when he went on his anti COVID stuff. As for Twitter, I got that feeling knowing people were still using it despite being very aware of the recent issues with it. Could also be said with Facebook with all its issues.

Yes. I call for Gladiator death match at high noon.

To be fair he does vomit a lot, sometimes while making halfway coherent sentences. Pride of the Kennedy family *sarcasm*

I was going to call those rookie numbers but I checked my numbers and damn I had low numbers compared to how I speak in rl. XD

Your account looks pretty good for a suspended account but really hope Bluesky resolves your issue soon. All joking aside, be careful about messages from "support" whether social media or any site. This is not too new of a trend but can be missed easily. If in doubt, check with that site directly.

Why?! When I'm retired I'm retired and ain't working or doing volunteering or other activities if I'm bored. Like a sane person. Saying not to retire is certainly a dumb take and reeks of clickbait, which is probably why they made it.

Now that I'm thinking about it I think maybe 2 or 3 people kept cursive after we were allowed to use print the following school year (no clue if they kept using it). The reason it's not taught as much nowadays is because it's not very useful at all. Signatures can be scribbles or even an x.

*if reading old documents sure it is ueful but writing definitely not
November 24, 2025 at 3:07 PM
I learned cursive and even had to write in it. I have zero clue how it makes you write faster tbh. Learning to read it is good but writing in it is just punishing me as a left-handed individual (if reading old documents). I do scribbles for my signature and not once did I get called out for it.

At the risk of being a buzzkill, AI was not responsible for this. It seems like an internal issue caused it. Also bold of people to assume AI coded slop makes it to production. Give the QC people a little more credit (nevermind the fact AI can't code complex projects at this point) XD
