🔊While in Harwell, the Committee also hosted two roundtables with space companies based in Harwell to hear their views.

Thank you to Spire, Astroscale, Space Solar, Open Cosmos, Magdrive, Satellite Applications Catapult and Oxford Space Systems for participating.

🚀On Friday 9 May, the Committee visited the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus as part of its inquiry.

📡The Committee enjoyed a tour of the National Satellite Testing Facility and meetings with stakeholders such as @esa.int, @ukspaceagency.bsky.social, RAL Space, and the STFC.

👨‍🚀 On Monday, the Committee held an oral evidence session with British astronaut Tim Peake.

🚀 He told the Committee that we are in a ‘New Golden Era of Space Exploration’, and that the UK needs to harness the opportunities of this new era if it wants to be a first-tier space nation.⬇️
