Your legs will always be stronger than your grip.

Unless you’re specifically training grip, use lifting straps to get the most out of barbell pull exercises.

(Pro-tip: Do as many of your warm up sets as you can without straps so you still get some grip training in!)

When choosing an exercise, think about efficacy AND safety.

A study has shown that hip thrusts are not ~quite~ as effective as barbell squats for building glutes.

However, they are much safer, especially when things get heavy. 👍🏼

✔️Squat
✔️Deadlift
✔️Bench press
✔️Pull-up
Or their variations.

When you want to increase intensity without increasing weight, try using tempo!

By slowing the eccentric (muscle lengthening or lowering) phase of a movement, you increase time under tension and thus the work being done.

More time under tension = more gainzzzzz 💪🏼

Did you know that not everyone has the anatomy to #squat “ass to grass”?

- long femurs
- retroverted hips
- limited ankle mobility
affect your squat - it’s just basic geometry!

Elevating the heels is one way to help those with long femurs access lower depth in #squats.

Before I started my #fitness journey, I was unable to hang from the monkey bars for even a few seconds when playing with my son.
