Rebecca was one of the founders of Interplay and programmed & designed for some of the most influential games of my youth, notably Bard's Tale I & III and Wasteland. She will be missed.

For your edification, the most common form factor of floppy disks:

5¼ inch (no metal door thing)
3½ inch (the one the save icon was modeled after)

There were also 8 inch (used before 1980s mainly), and various not very successful 3 inch, 2½ inch and 2 inch formats.

If you’re interested in 1960s relay computer circuits, take a look at this Minivac 601 Simulator I just released!

~2 years of work on and off. Simulating electricity wasn’t as easy as I originally thought :)

Cheers!

Follow, in real time, the greatest hubris of Man: the construction of a 3D printer
It is time to begin the unholy ritual of building a 3D printer in defiance of all the Old Gods who, if they wanted our imaginations to come to pass so easily, would not have taken from us substantiation magic long ago.

Soon begins the pain!

Got to watch @tracketpacer.bsky.social give the RFC1925 clues at Hacker Jeopardy and if this is the thing that actually brings me back to posting on social media i guess that says a lot about how much fun this is.

Also that my brain is finally fried which, good, one more task checked off.
