If you’re just trying to obtain it for registering it in the Pokédex and don’t necessarily care about the research tasks, there is an area in postgame where even the trade evolutions can show up as wild spawns, but they’re pretty rare and they’re always going to be Alphas.

I also keep autosave off when I start playing most Pokémon games because historically at least a few of the games have had a rare day-1 bug that could make autosave corrupt the save file. I know those cases were rare, it’s just… those bugs had to actually happen to people before they were patched.

My usual go-to for annoying catches is either ‘wait until night and use a dusk ball’, ‘put it to sleep’, or both.
Dusk balls have saved me so much time and effort over the years.

to be fair though, I *wish* base-game ZA had a ‘making food with your Pokémon’ mechanic like ScVi and SwSh, or even just more to the Cafés and restaurants around the city than a photo posing opportunity and battle facility respectively. (I know the Cafés also heal your Pokémon)

I mean, in some of the later parts of the game and postgame I’ve gotten into situations where max revives were very much necessary to avoid a potential team wipe, and it seems like the implication of the DLC is a full team of lvl. 100 mons is going to be a necessary starting point, sooo.

Related fact specifically relevant to Z-A: if you straight-up receive an Alakazam from a trade it will register to the Pokédex just fine, but the trade evolution research task from Mabel can only be fulfilled by receiving a trade-evolution Pokémon like kadabra from someone else.

It’s one of the trade evolutions, doesn’t require an item, but it does only evolve when someone trades one to you or you trade it to another person.

I’m more fond of Grafaiai myself, (Long Live The Loogey Lemur!) but regardless… yeah, Smeargle/Grafaiai are kinda overly stereotypical as ‘art’ Pokémon go.

Imagine an AZ plushie comes out and it’s got those long and floppy limbs like a sock monkey plushie to accurately depict how tall he is😅

Legends Arceus, S/V, and Legends ZA have all been kind of crazy for shiny encounters. I haven’t even gotten the shiny charm yet in ZA and before I even beat the game I’d already caught a shiny Bellsprout, shiny Alpha Abomasnow, shiny Pidgey, and shiny Furfrou without trying to hunt for anything.

No, but a lot of them are scammers, grifters, or have many of them as hangers-on, and have spent a long time warping the narrative or paying others to do it for them, there’s the intelligence they lack, but then there’s the scam-peddling limited version of clever.

Have to honestly wonder… in 200-1,000 years, how many of the sites of current major cities will have become lakes,wetlands, or part of the ocean just based on sea levels and waterflow?

The way I personally interpreted that is a perhaps overly clunky and blunt phrasing, but a decent point, in that the people lobbying against the idea of “paying a living wage” are probably good at playing semantics to warp people’s ideas of what’s actually being asked for.

The longer I look, and as a result find things out about every little piece of information I was told in regards to the narrative of how the US is supposed to work, the more things I’m discovering were based on broken metrics.

My sibling binged Psych twice in a row, the second time to spot every hidden pineapple… and then my mom bought an actual pineapple and left it on the desk in their room. My sibling legit screamed because they thought they were hallucinating😂
