The paths are unmaintained but not completely overgrown If it were for the ‘explosive atmosphere’ and likelihood of flooding .. it’s a pretty dreamy building. I’m imagining a brutalist cafe urban, brutal , brutalism, C20 Kind brutalist eyes and traffic cone tongue, he is friendly really

Long cast concrete building with four rounded windows, leaves and traffic cones on the ground, leafless trees A close up of one of the windows boarded up with wood which has ombre-d due to damp Yellow sign that reads “danger explosive atmosphere below the coping” Marsh Street Pumping Station À building I had always wondered about but never stopped for a closer look until today. Unnecessarily brutal, (they didn’t need to but I’m so glad they did). Love those giant port hole windows, looks like it could turn into a River Don submarine at any moment. I don’t think it’s listed but hopefully that could change. Unsure if it’s still in use as a pumping station

mural of a black and white tuxedo cat taking up the whole end wall of an apartment building At 34‑35 Rugiańska Street in Szczecin, a new mural has been created honouring the legendary cat Gacek – a black and white icon of the city. The artwork was created using photocatalytic paints which, under sunlight, help purify the air. For years Gacek lived near Kaszubska Street, where a dedicated wooden shelter stood and where he became a beloved figure among residents, tourists and the media alike. In 2023, due to health concerns, he was brought into care and found a home. The Gacek mural is a one-of-a-kind initiative in Poland – no other city has created a piece of street art that both honours a local animal celebrity and actively contributes to environmental protection. The Detroit Skyline as seen from Grand River Avenue. A fog sits on top of the state's two tallest buildings; the brand new Hudson's Tower (left with the straight lights), and the Renaissance Center that was built in the 1970's (right, with the light on top of it). The Book Tower is in the right background with the green copper roof. It was the tallest building in the city from 1926-1928.

Had a nice flask of tea with Gardom’s Edge carved fibreglass replica today

and since learnt that the actual carved stone is resting directly beneath, which is oddly comforting
Gardom’s Edge carved stone - until you tap it and realise this is a fibreglass replica, and a very good one at that. Stone carvings of concentric shapes, rings with cups inside, a swirling pattern and straight lines as well as more lines and cups further down the rock. The original petroglyph was discovered in the 60’s and in 1996 reburied to preserve from weather erosion, with the replica placed on top. My map reading skills were tested on the November terrain, half expected there to be an info board or post here, surely it deserves one. Claude Monet painted the 18 works in his Mornings on the Seine series from a flat-bottomed boat anchored to the riverbank where the Epte River flows into the Seine. There, as the light changed from dawn to day, he worked on one canvas after another.
