This definitely rings largely true to me, and gets at why I have discomfort about Newsome and the rest of the more traditional Democrats.

Stand for something shouldn’t be a radical idea!
Gavin "I have one good idea for every three monstrous acts I perform" Newsom is in the news demanding that Democrats be more "socially normal", and this one is definitely not ending up in the "good idea" bucket.

It's just a new way to spin the failing "embrace the center", but there's a fun twist.

A good thread - the whole 🧵is worth reading - that both made me chuckle AND pushed me to ponder a bit.
A thing I genuinely love about D&D, even if it sometimes frustrates me, is that is presents as a polished, well thought out product, but in reality a large portion of it represents the winning move in decade old flamewars about what is or isn't cool in D&D.

A much more reasonable proposal, unlike the Russian plan being pushed by Trump.

Trump pushing a Russian plan (with Russian language) sure doesn’t seem on the up and up to me.
European counter plan to the Russian authored Trump Ukraine surrender plan.

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

Outrageous.
Thanks to his new Tesla pay package, Elon Musk could stand to make $3 billion more per year than all 1.4 million elementary school teachers in the U.S. combined. Still wondering if inequality is out of control?

This is the Democratic “behavior” that Trump says is punishable by death, just in case you haven’t seen it yet.
We want to speak directly to members of the Military and the Intelligence Community.

The American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution.

Don’t give up the ship.

Fracking hell.
I wanted to share probably the most important sermon I’ve given and it’s while I’m being arrested. It’s torture pure and simple what happens at #Broadview. I’m ok, though I was thrown to the ground and choked with my pectoral cross. A review of the video shows I was peaceful - did I deserve this?

I will not be buying Starbucks products, and encourage you to join me in not crossing the picket line.
Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Not surprised, but this story deserves wider attention.

Maybe it really was all a grift to Wells Fargo and/or the landlords.
NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

All too true.
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.
