Ahhhh, well, we;ve done HE and FQ, so - R is here on the #C64! I remember seeing this in the "Early Warning" pages of CF and that's all she wrote - I never played it until just then. IMHO, despite it's high production values, it is the weakest of the 3. However, it is still ok.

I think I first got this game on XBLA on the #XBOX360 way back when, or perhaps Steam, but this 2020 #C64 version is an absolute MARVEL on the machine. Utterly charming, heavy production values and it plays PERFECTLY. If you've never played it - give it a go, it's CRACKING!

It really is good. One of the most memorable snippets of game loading nostalgia for me on the #C64. Love it.

It must have been a few weeks since I mentioned the cool tape loader for Mike Singleton's "Lords of Midnight", which shows off its excellent 3D landscaping engine.
It's quite a mesmerising effect. I should have tried it back when I had access to weed. 😋

It really is good. One of the most memorable snippets of game loading nostalgia for me on the #C64. Love it.
More #C64 goodness on the #SubStack - it's free, it'll all still be here, but, the thing about "here" is that it all just gets shifted away by the perpetual ticking of the clocks... There, it is curated (FREE) and always available. There, there, said the Mayor. That's that.

Dateline 1987 and a Firebird £1.99 platformer game for the #C64. I never played this back in the day, though, my excellently named "Book of Games for the Commodore 64" says otherwise (see below) - I just played it now. It's madenningly frustratingly playable. Hahaha! ARGH!

So, last night my brother and I went to see our 2nd Bob Dylan Gig in three years. It wasn't great. Which is a shame, as the one 3 years ago really was. So much to deconstruct and not much of it positive - my disappointment is palpable, as is my worry for the artist. My favourite artist. 😐

Wow. I have never heard of this, nor played it. Now I have. Lovely presentation and possibly a decent 2-Ply "Joust" affair for the #C64. Released for free, I think, in 1991. It's fairly interesting, but you really do need to have two playing it. The controls are a bit whack.

I have found my mother's uncle's balsa wood sealed box of cigars. 🤠 Bob Harris' Country Hour just started on Radio 2. I have no trousers on and am sitting in the comfy indoor outdoor garden chair in the kitchen. Stable door is being opened... Now, where's the light..?

The (brand new BTW) wood burner in the cottage is flippin' bonkers good. I bought a little fan thang that only works (almost silently) when it is hit and it gently circulates warm air into the room. I didn't think it was working. It was. It's silent. 😂
