Another VGen sample! This was a more open-ended request, so there was a lot of exploration before coming up with this staff-parasol fusion! For the aesthetics of the character this came out very lovely.

A design sheet for Miaki, depicting a short staff. The title on the top reads "Miaki's Parasol Staff". The staff itself features angel wing motifs and has 2 ruffled ribbons with small wing charms on its side, as well as a tassel hanging below the handle. The user is able to summon a canopy akin to an actual parasol, except it is in the shape of two angel wings curled into each other. The side panels include front and side views of the staff, a size comparison with Miaki, full views of the tassel and wing charms, a full view of the wing canopy, and two sketches featuring Miaki using the staff in 2 different ways; one for magic and one for defense.

A design sheet that shows off the process behind designing Miaki's parasol-staff. The sheet includes initial concept sketches for a staff, a sword, and battle fans, rough sketches of the parasol itself, more refined sketches of staves and prasol handles, and color tests of the final sketch.
