Years ago on twitter I made a joke about how these guys reminded me of an enormous blood clot that had made the news when someone coughed it up and now every time I see them I think of the blood clot

Lately I have been doing puzzles
A completed jigsaw puzzle of an illustrated scene of kittens in a kitchen making a mess and getting into mischief with baking supplies and ingredients. A completed jigsaw puzzle of a graphic art piece in a sort of cubism style with bright colors showing buildings and cars on a street in the foreground and mountains and sunshine in the background. A completed gradient jigsaw puzzle with white along the bottom, dark colors at the top, and green at either end with the full rainbow spectrum in between. A completed jigsaw puzzle of 27 different "Love" US postage stamps from different eras.

I saw this on tumblr. It's kind of bothering me because it's obviously supposed to look like it was taken in the 90s but it equally obviously wasn't. Trying to figure out everything that's uncanny about it.

We each got a balloon fiesta-themed photo frame and now I have to figure out which pic to print out for mine

Hey guys I went to the Albuquerque balloon fiesta this weekend
Three hot air balloons inflated on the ground glowing from the inside against the night sky. One has a diagonal checkerboard pattern in black, white, yellow, and purple; one has a chevron pattern in flame colors; and one has a checkerboard pattern in magenta and charcoal. A big cloudy sky just before sunrise, with a crowd of people and a row of tents and kiosks lit up in the near distance and mountains in the horizon. Made my mom some clamshell boxes for her two well-worn bibles
Two book-size boxes with wraparound covers. The slightly larger one has a bright blue fabric cover and a small primary-color geometric pattern on white on the sides. The other one has a black fabric cover and a sort of mountain pattern in red with black, green, and gold on the sides. The boxes open to show their clamshell construction. You can see that the papers used around the sides cover the entire trays. The blue box open with a black bible fitted into the smaller tray. The black box open with a red bible fitted into the smaller tray.

Made some boxes to go in my nightstand cabinets
Four decorative boxes covered in white fabric stacked in a column. They are identical except for the cutout panels on the front, each of which shows a slightly different blue and white watercolor-ish pattern. The four boxes arrayed so that you can see inside them. Each has a different compartment configuration and is lined with a different combination of decorative papers, all of which are varied and colorful.
