Highly informative paper! Various small molecules were linked to lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), improving the amounts of LNPs that crossed the blood-brain-barrier (BBB) in mice and in cell culture models of the BBB. Link: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...

Liu et al. present a remarkably simple yet clever method of mitigating the effects of head-mounted microscopes on mouse behavior: they tethered a helium balloon to the microscope device to counter its weight! A fun and useful engineering solution!

Had a great time presenting one of my PhD research projects at the International Adenovirus Meeting in Cardiff, Wales! "Covalently linked adenovirus-AAV complexes as a novel platform technology for gene therapy". (Cloth poster ended up a bit ruffled, but still turned out well).

A cool study by Radford et al. that shows it is possible to pass near-infrared photons through an entire human head! Interestingly, the photons preferentially take trajectories through the cerebrospinal fluid regions due to lower scattering and absorption there.

An exciting therapeutic technology for controllable yet potent CAR T treatment of cancers. Uses an ultrasound-sensitive promoter and a genetic positive feedback loop circuit. My understanding is that this is part of the startup Acoustic Cell Therapy Inc. too! Link to paper: doi.org/10.1016/j.ce...

Love this concept - a skyscraper hanging from an asteroid in orbit! While this probably won't be built for awhile, it's still very inspiring and I hope something similar eventually becomes a reality! Link to read more about the proposed design: cloudsao.com/ANALEMMA-TOWER

Had an amazing experience at the AI x Bio conference co-hosted by The Foresight Institute and Vitalia! Made new friends, reunited with old friends, and learned a lot about how AI will transform the future of biological research and longevity technology.

"Poetry is only secondarily about words. Primarily, it is about truth."

My top 10 favorite science fiction novels in *rough* order. In the case of Hyperion, I am counting "Hyperion" and its sequel "The Fall of Hyperion" as one book. Note that I'm not including standalone short stories, though certain ones would rank very highly if they were here.
