I teach children's literature & I have to point out to students that LGBTQ kids' books didn't exist when I was a kid. It's awful that it's under attack now & we need to push back against that, but it's fucking magical that these books exist at all.

I went to wilderness boot camp with one of Jeb Bush's kids and once sat next to Warren Buffet at a bat mitzvah. I'm probably a few steps away from all kinds of awful.
