It’s because they align themselves with being against fascism but have done absolutely none of the work to decolonize much of their own thinking. That is why I don’t define myself as antifascist. Yes I fight fascism and take part in antifascist actions, but it’s a piece of my larger goal.

I am not anti-fascist, I am pro liberation. To be pro liberation means you must defeat fascism, but it also means that you fight to create a world that is liberated for all, not just against the thing that is currently harming you.

This is probably the biggest dissonance Bluesky users have about politics. We want our party, our faction(s) to always be strong and look strong and have that strength be acknowledged, but this can only be achieved through constantly humiliating and crushing every other party and faction.
It looks pathetic to us, but part of being a politician is being willing to look pathetic sometimes.

This is pure cruelty and an assault on a peaceful family with a toddler. ICE apparently fired a pepper-spray bullet into a car, that poor one-year old girl is crying her eyes out. This is an unacceptable behavior from agents who should be sued for that.
