“These publications have the First Amendment right to be free of viewpoint-based discrimination, but UA is explicitly citing their viewpoints to justify killing their publications. No federal antidiscrimination law authorizes the university to silence student media it dislikes.”

When the University of California system failed to legally challenge Trump’s $1.2 billion fine against UCLA, UC unions led by @aaup.org representing faculty, staff, and students successfully sued the administration themselves.
WE WON!!!

The US District Court for the Northern District of California has issued a preliminary injunction in AAUP et al v. Trump et al (the wall to wall union lawsuit challenging the administration’s unlawful use of Title VI to reshape the University of California system.

The AAUP chapter at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln is organizing a week of action to fight devastating budget cuts!

UNL is proposing to slash around 27 million dollars and to close 4 programs at the university.

TX Tech has a flow chat for guidance on what can be taught in the university system. Two things:
1. Very little content seems to be permitted. This is partisan control of the curriculum.
2. I would not enjoy teaching under these conditions, but I really would not want to be a Chair or Dean.
