Another problem I'm having is that my feed starts shaking up and down and scrolling by itself. I don't think it's my screen, because this hasn't happened in any other app.
The main problem I have in the Android app is that people's profiles stop loading after a while and are blank. I have to close the app and reopen it to fix this. (I also have connectivity issues, but this might be partly my WiFi)

I bought a monitor stand (and replaced my two desktop speakers with one compact soundbar). Now the top of the monitor is level with the screen of my personal laptop (16") on its laptop stand, and slightly higher than my work laptop (13").

21 years ago today - Yanukovych eggsassinated in Ivano-Frankivsk. The pro-Russian PM and then presidential candidate, visiting western Ukraine, was struck by an egg thrown by a protester, collapsed egg-stremely dramatically, and was bundled into a car and rushed to hospital.

I believe everyone should always write time zones out in numbers (UTC+8, UTC-4, etc). Numbers are universally and instantly understandable! I can add and subtract in my head, but I can't be expected to remember what ET, PT, CT etc are or where DST is currently in effect.

In 2022 it got psychotic. I was arguing about Ukraine with someone I had been on reasonably good terms with before; I sent her an article from a Ukrainian professor in the US, and no joke she dismissed it because she couldn't tell 'if he had any Nazi connections' or 'who his parents were'
What's been very revealing to me about most of these pieces is that the reaction (at best) usually amounts to dismissal of the writer in question, often on fairly reprehensible grounds

Insgesamt viel Kraft an Wolodymyr Selenskyj für die nächsten Tage und Wochen. Auch kein neuer Gedanke, aber neben 3,5 Jahren Krieg darüber hinaus noch dieses Niveau an überheblicher außenpolitischer Inkompetenz aushalten zu müssen ist keine schöne Aufgabe.
